Dust Bowl Brewing – Therapist Imperial IPA

From Dust Bowl Brewing in Turlock, California is Therpaist Imperial IPA. I wasn’t able to track down much specific history about Dust Bowl Brewing, but it seems like they’re relatively young in the regionally-distributed-craft-beer game. I have had their Hops of Wrath IPA which I rated above average, but that’s my only prior experience with the brewery. Still, when you find a new bottle on the shelf at your local shop, the beer snob is obligated to investigate.

Being adventurous is always easier when the beer is a variety you like and the ABV has double digits. In my experience, IPAs are always a safe bet for new brewers. It seems like a genre that’s hard to mess up (though it has happened).
Therapist IIPA doesn’t miss the mark. It’s super hoppy without going overboard and finishes clean. Alcohol isn’t overt either. An excellent example of the breed. I give it 4/5 and would highly recommend it.

i, I'm Stephen. I'm an airline pilot and reformed beer drinker. Born and raised in southern California and lived the last half of my life in the SF Bay Area. I like sports cars with clutch pedals, airplanes, and both college and pro football. I spent most of my 20's drinking High Life and Rolling Rock, but was shamed into beer snobbery by the woman who would become my wife. Currently I enjoy travelling around the country and searching out the local beers. Cheers!
